Alyse Michelle Bierly is a 21 year old actress, singer, dancer, and activist originally from Boston, Massachusetts. She is currently a senior at American University in Washington, DC, pursuing degrees in both Musical Theater and Special Education.

Alyse began acting at age 8, and performed in many educational and community theatre productions throughout elementary, middle, and high school.  At 10 years old, she joined Voices Boston, training in opera under the direction of Andy Icochea Icochea, former master of the Vienna Boys Choir. She had the honor of performing with Voices Boston at many venues in the Northeast, including Boston Symphony Hall, Tanglewood with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, and Carnegie Hall with renowned opera singer Anne Sofie Von Otter and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

During the 2020-2021 quarantine, Alyse was fortunate to continue to create art.  Out of the numerous productions and projects that she worked on, she enjoyed working with Laura Luc and KOTA Productions in their virtual professional productions of Annie the Musical and Jane Eyre, and acting in several multimedia projects. Recently, she was given the opportunity to play her dream role of Carrie White in Carrie the Musical at the White Heron Theatre.

When Alyse was 13, she founded Seams of Hope, making blankets, pillows, and care packages for children all around the world fighting DIPG, an inoperable and terminal brain tumor. To date, she has sent over 100 blankets/pillows/care packages to 32 U.S. states as well as multiple provinces in Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Ireland, Italy, and the UK. In September of 2022, she was given a table at CureFest in Washington DC, an advocacy event for childhood cancer that draws people from all around the nation. She had this wonderful opportunity to present her organization to hundreds of people and spread awareness. Not only does she advocate for kids with cancer, but she is also a gun control and mental health activist, planning her high school’s March For Our Lives student walkout, and becoming a member of the Kind Angels Group, a social media group that helps individuals in need of someone to talk to.

When she is not on stage, Alyse loves to make care packages for Seams of Hope, write pen pal letters through Save the Children, work as a Promise Leader promoting gun control and gun safety in schools for Sandy Hook Promise, and see as much theater as she can!
